US Media Coverage of the Muslim World: Ignorance, Malice, or Greed?

What is the media responsibility in educating the public on international issues? What responsibility do you have  to seek out alternative voices? Learn how carefully crafted wording can lead to public mis-information.
Covering a broad range of current Middle East issues, including refugee camps, Lisette will use Edward Said's critique of R. Barnet's The Roots of War to try to explain how decent men and women can be led to accept the use of war on distant lands, their peoples and their culture.

8:45pm to 10:30pm  Relaxed discussion (nobody on stage)  drink, eat, chat
